a symposium on community-engaged art in Saskatchewan
The field of community-engaged arts has evolved immeasurably over the years in Saskatchewan since its origins in the 1992 community theatre production of Ka'ma'mo'picik (The Gathering), under the direction of Rachael Van Fossen. Since then, community arts practices have grown to encompass the full range of artistic disciplines and artists and social/community organizations have realized the great value of the arts in providing voice to everyone, including those in the margins of society, and in influencing positive community building and personal transformation.
Are you interested or engaged in community arts? We invite you to ‘STATE OF THE ART’, an opportunity to learn about other projects and approaches, share successes and challenges and network with others actively involved in our exciting and rewarding field.
