This toolkit was produced in response to the interest and need of many community organizers, artists and grassroots groups who said that they want practical, down-to-earth tools and techniques that will help them become more effective in their community projects and collaborations.
It was developed for anyone involved in undertaking a community-engaging arts project--artists and other community people alike. It will be of interest to a wide range of people, including those in sectors such as community development, education, environment, business, social development, health, justice, and culture. The toolkit is designed for use in many communities: rural, northern, urban, and Aboriginal or other cultural communities, as well as for the individuals, groups and agencies working in them.
